7/8" BREAK-AWAY SWIVELS
GMP 7/8" Break-Away Swivels provide an inexpensive fracture point between a pulling line & fiber optic cable to protect against costly cable damage if the cable's rated pulling capacity is exceeded
- The 7/8" x 4 5/8" body is made of high quality aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish for wear resistance
- Steel thrust washers and bushings insure smooth rotation under load and help to keep twisting forces from reaching the cable.
- Each unit comes with a replaceable color-coded tension bolt. The swivel & bolt are color-coded for identification
- The bolt will separate when the pulling load reaches +/-5% of the bolt rating. It can then be replaced using an Allen Wrench (included) & screwdriver
Note: We strongly suggest ordering additional replacement bolts with swivels to avoid delays in work if the bolt supplied with the unit breaks
